FORTY animal rights activists were arrested at a chicken farm protest.
Police moved in after 200 protestors targeted the farm in North Bay, California.
Some of the protestors manage to storm the property and broke doors and chicken coops.
The Sonoma County Sheriff said some of the protestors set out to get arrested to generate more publicity.
They were all taken to the Sonoma County Jail before being released.
All are now due to appear in court at a later date.
