Even though he can’t walk, Oscar isn’t letting his condition get him down.

The pooch can bear weight on only one of his back legs and is charming everyone who has come in contact with him in the past week.

An Escambia County Animal Shelter spokesperson said: “We are simply astounded with Oscar’s brave demeanor.

“Despite having a horribly broken leg and not being able to walk, he is the sweetest little guy who tries to scoot around on the floor to get close to his foster moms and siblings.

“Despite the excruciating pain he must be in, all he wants is love, attention and to be close to people.”

After surgery, Oscar will not return to the shelter but instead will stay with two members of the Escambia County Animal Shelter.

Once he is back at full strength, the charity plans to put up Oscar for adoption.
