TV celebrity Katie Price has been targeted by activists for backing fur.
The horse-loving star praised Furs by Natalia – which uses real fur – when she was photographed at the famous Cheltenham Races in the UK.
She took to Instagram to reveal she was wearing a design by the company which uses mink, fox, rabbit and raccoon furs for their products.
Katie endorsed the brand by wearing one of their designs and saying on Instagram: “@fursbynatalia always love all her furs.”
But she suffered a social media backlash.
“Completely appalled and disappointed that you’re wearing fur. Do you have no conscience at all?” one offended fan raged on Instagram, before branding Katie: “Vile!”
Others blasted her for wearing fur while claiming to an animal lover.
Others said she was a hypocrite for attending horse racing.
“Disgusting that your wearing fur and supporting the races you love horses so much yet you watch them race btw 2 have already died/been killed in these races so far,” one angry fan wrote.
Furs by Natalia pride themselves on using real fur, with their Facebook page stating: “The materials which have been a focus of the brand is real fur, more specifically it is fox, raccoon and rabbit fur.”
