Vegan Diet not Sustainable, Research Finds

VEGANS are wrong to claim their diet is environmentally sustainable, new research shows. Eating oysters and sardines is a far better option for the future of the planet, scientific analysis has revealed.

The research published by the scientific journal Frontiers in Ecology and the Environment compared the impact on the planet of livestock farming, fish farming and seafood caught in the wild.

It found shellfish, mollusks and small fish like sardines and herring had the lowest environmental impact because they feed naturally in the sea and little fuel is needed to catch them.
